Dear BUV Member,

The April meeting was held on the 11th as scheduled and called to order by President Fullbeck.  Thanks to all who attended.  Our next meeting is scheduled for May 9th.

The preparations for our May picnic are almost complete.  As most of you know, the picnic will be held at the Donauschwaben Haus between 2-6pm on Sunday the 21st.  We will wrap up the last minute details next week as it is our last meeting prior to our event.  Please invite anyone that may be interested in coming.  We will have live music provided by Brother Frank Bakes, Jr’s band and are very much looking forward to that.

Enclosed is a flyer for the upcoming German Day weekend as well as a copy of our new member form.  Feel free to sponsor a new member and invite them to our upcoming picnic.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

Sadly, we have lost a dear member, Edith Fullbeck, wife of our late member Alfred Fullbeck and mother of Pete Fullbeck.  Edith will be remembered for her instrumental efforts and hard work in the society’s events such as the International Folks Festival, the Bavarian picnics, Dances and most of all the Christmas parties each year.  Everyone will remember her authentic homemade potato and Haring salads.  Edith was committed to our organizing the music and stockings for the kids during the Christmas parties.  She will be greatly missed.

Evelyn Fullbeck has been admitted at Mercy Hospital in Western Hills.  Please keep her and the Fullbeck family in your prayers.

We hope to see everyone at our May meeting.  The meeting will be held at the Donauschwaben Haus and begin at 7:00 pm.

Sincerely yours,

                                                                                                Randall Mueller
