Dear BUV Member,

The February meeting was held on the 14^th as scheduled and called to order by President Fullbeck. Thanks to all who attended. Our next meeting is scheduled for March 14th.

Most of our meeting consisted of discussing Maifest. A decision was made by the members present, at the meeting, to hold the event but to scale it down in size. We will not publicly announce the event but strongly encourage our members to attend and to invite others. We are seeking to grow our society by drawing new members. Our goal is to have the event grow each year. In order for this to happen we will need to increase our membership through these exciting events.

The DJ and music have been scheduled thanks to brother Frklic. Arrangements are being made for the food and beverages including beer and sodas. We will fire up the grills for the meats and we’ll also have plenty of pastries. There will be a couple of split the pots and other fund raising events.

Next month we will have secured all final plans and will be sending out R.S.V.P information for you and your guests. We will also have information to pass out to friends, neighbors, co-workers and anyone else who may have interest in coming. Our goal is to have at least 150 people attend.

Brother Josef Schneider has recently undergone a double knee replacement. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. We were glad to hear that brother Wolfgang Mueller is doing much better now since his accident.

We hope to see everyone at our March meeting. The meeting will be held at the Donauschwaben Haus and begin at 7:00 pm.
