Dear BUV Member,

 

            The January meeting was held on the 9th as scheduled and called to order by President Pete Fullbeck.  Thanks to all who attended. 

 

            We have formally welcomed four new members into our society.  They are: Dan Waterman, Elmer Hambaugh, Linda Hambaugh and Stephanie Huffman.

 

            President Fullbeck welcomed the officers and trustees for 2007.

Trustees: Joe Weber, John Nimeskern and Darren Flynn

 

            Discussion was held during the meeting to explore the possibility of partnering with the Donauschwaben for Maifest 2007.  I will inform members through the newsletter once we find out more.  If you haven’t had the opportunity yet, please visit our website to view pictures from Maifest 2006.

 

            German Fest Milwaukee is scheduled for July 27, 28 and 29, 2007.  For more information regarding the event, call 414-464-9444 or visit www.germanfest.com.  I have posted this link on our website.  President Fullbeck explained that buses will be departing from the Donauschwaben Haus and the Germania Society to transport folks to Milwaukee if you don’t wish to drive.  If anyone is interested in purchasing tickets, please contact Randy Mueller for the forms or visit their site.

 

            We hope to see everyone at our upcoming meeting.  Our next meeting is scheduled for February 13th at the Donauschwaben Haus and will begin at 7:00 pm.
