Dear BUV Member,

The January meeting was held on the 10^th as scheduled and called to order by President Fullbeck. Thanks to all who attended. Our next meeting is scheduled for February 14th.

We wish to give a warm welcome to our newest members. William Supe and Kenny Waterman were accepted during our January meeting.

Discussion was held pertaining to Maifest as it relates to Band and Music accommodations as well as admission prices. We are asking that all members show up for the next meeting so that we may move forward with preparation and finalize a head count of volunteers. Preliminary activities include Wheelbarrow of Cheer, Rat Game, Corn Hole and Split the Pot. Arrangements are being made to display club memorabilia prior to donating it to the German Museum. Treasurer Mueller spoke about the financial aspects of the event and it appears that we have the necessary funds for the event.

President Fullbeck asked that everyone brain storm prior to our next meeting for ideas and activities for Maifest. Also, if anyone has any ideas as to possible advertising mediums, let us know.

Congratulations to Joe Abt. As of 2006, Joe is now the new President of the Donauschwaben.

Thank you to Alfred Weinstroer and Darrel Waterman for conducting the year end financial report audit for 2005. All books were found to be in order.

Our 2006 Christmas Party is in the process of being scheduled and reserved. Discussion was held regarding catering arrangements and music preparations.

We hope to see everyone at our February meeting. The meeting will be held at the Donauschwaben Haus and begin at 7:00 pm.
